The Lansing office of State Representative Pete Lund is seeking to fill internship openings for the 2009 fall semester and 2010 spring semester. Intern duties will include, but are not limited to, handling constituent cases, answering phones, legislative research, letter and tribute writing, general office management, and miscellaneous tasks. Students will gain valuable hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. Hours are negotiable. Ties to Macomb County are preferred but not required. |

This is an unpaid position, but college credit is possible. (See your school’s Internship Coordinator.) |

| Minimum Qualifications | ||
|
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous office experience and knowledge of the Legislature and legislative process is a plus but not required. Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required. |
