Office: Representative Donna Lasinski

Caucus: Democratic

Description: This is a full-time position in the Lansing office of State Representative Donna Lasinski. The Legislative Aide position with a focus on policy requires an individual to perform research, legislative, and constituent duties. Responsibilities include research and tracking legislation, working knowledge of appropriations, preparation of materials for legislative committees, session and district events while maintaining positive constituent relations.  The position requires strong analytical, written and communication skills, ability to produce op-eds and newsletters, office management skills and the ability to work under time deadlines. Occasional travel to the district is required.

Salary Range: Commensurate on experience

Minimum Qualifications: The applicant must be professional, resourceful, and possess strong administrative, organizational, and clerical skills.  A Bachelors degree is required.  The individual must have government experience with an expertise in state issues.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Applicant must also be independent and self-motivated, detail oriented, assuming responsibility without direct supervision or direction.
