Office: Representative LaTanya Garrett

Description: The office of Representative LaTanya Garrett is currently looking to fill the Legislative Aide/Constituent Services position.  The legislative aide will be responsible for assisting the Member in general office operations including constituent relations, communications, scheduling, and attending a variety of community meetings and events in the district on the Representative’s behalf.  Selected candidates will also be responsible for all communications including responding to emails from the district box, drafting Tributes and certificates, and maintaining an organized filing system to track events and organize policy.  Will also be responsible for helping to plan district coffee hours and town hall meetings.  Assistance in social media, research, and special projects is sometimes required.  Travel to the district may be required, including for attending in-district community events and meetings as necessary.

Salary Range: $28,000 - $32,000 based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:  Applicants must be organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter.  Strong applicants will have a positive attitude, previous office experience including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, telephone skills, and writing skills.  Knowledge of the legislature is desired but not required.  Applicants should have a writing sample and references on request.
